Another successful fundraising quiz
Winchester Soroptimists recently held their annual fundraising quiz at Littleton Village Hall. Despite travel problems, eleven teams turned up and taxed their brains against questions on topics ranging from science and nature to popular entertainment and sport. They were also faced with a selection of 20 photos of well-known people to identify in a separate ‘table quiz’. From sale of tickets plus the raffle, over £400 was raised that will go towards the Soroptimists’ charities including the Winchester based charity Wells for India, which funds projects to provide clean water supplies for villages in the Rajasthan region of India. Plans are now in hand for the Soroptimists’ next major fundraising event, which will be a Fashion Show on Friday 30 May in Winchester Guildhall.
