SI Fylde is a very active Club situated on the beautiful coastline of St Annes on Sea.

We have our own property in St Annes - Soroptimist House - which was purchased many years ago thanks to the fundraising efforts of members. This property is in apartments which we are gradually refurbishing and we let these out to ladies who need support and assistance.

We are also actively involved in many charitable causes locally, regionally and nationally. We assist at a local Contact Centre every six weeks, ensuring that separated families have chance to meet ion neutral territory. We help with environmental projects and have published a booklet in co-ordination with Fylde Borough Council on Recycling called "The Ultimate Guide to Recycling". We also help with Life Education which educates youngsters to look after their health and wellbeing. We have sent Aqua Boxes to help with areas where tragedies such as the tsunami and earthquakes have occurred and we are active in our local community, raising awareness on issues such as breast cancer, water aid, fair trade, etc.

At a Regional level we help to raise awareness about human trafficking and are taking part in the "Purple Ribbon" project which highlights this awful trade.

My year is a year of promoting well-being and raising awareness on mental health issues and I shall ensure our members have a very enjoyable year whilst still pursuing their Soroptimist Aims.
