SI Scotland North Projects
Each Soroptimist International club identifies the needs of its community, then establishes specific projects to address these needs. All our projects relate to one or more of the six Programme Focus Areas: Economic and Social Development, Education, Environment, Health, Human Rights and the Status of Women, and International Goodwill and Understanding.

The projects listed below include some of the local and international issues we research and support in SI Scotland North:
CONNECT by Investing in the Future
Each Club Delegate has been given £10 by President Janice and challenged to find ways to increase this money. Each Club that participates has six months until the June AGM and the Club which has increased the £10 the most will win a prize.
All the funds raised will go to our Quadrennial Project, Project SIerra.
S I ABERDEEN
Their main charities this year are Arthritis in Children and The Noddy Campaign.
In January 2008, a presentation of over £2000 was given to The Noddy Campaign.
S I CRIEFF
'Better Decisions are made with Shared Knowledge' This year they will concentrate on service although one of their main objectives is to help The Scottish Outward Bound Association.
S I Crieff will celebrate their 50th Anniversary in June 2008.
S I DUNDEE
The Club is involved with the Keyhole Kate Charity Shop in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. They are also re-establishing links with the Dundee International Women's Centre.
S I EASTER ROSS
Their charity this year will be The British Heart Foundation/ Nurses Highland and in December 2007, they handed over a cheque for £1000.
S I INVERNESS & NAIRN
Tools for Africa, Violence Against Women and the Cluster Bomb Campaign are ongoing projects.
S I PERTH
Perth Club is involved with S I Pune in India helping to fund a Health Clinic. The whole project won both the SIGBI and the S I Worldwide Good Practice Award 2007.
S I ST ANDREWS & DISTRICT
One of their projects is 'Tools for Self Reliance' and members are collecting tools and also haberdashery items.
