Our President's Message

My theme for the year is “You are what you do"

The charities I have chosen for my year are two to which I am greatly committed. The Autistic Society, as my eldest grandchild has Aspergers, and the NSPCC as I have been involved with raising money for many years. I also hope to raise some money to train volunteer workers at Rugby Homestart..

SI Rugby meets on the first Tuesday of each month at the Masonic Hall. I can assure anyone interested in joining us, that it is a wonderful way of meeting like-minded women . Through commitment to others through service or fundraising, it is also a way of making new friends, both in Rugby and other Clubs

There are a wide range of events and activities planned for the coming year, including:

The President’s Lunch, which will be held on Sunday 27th May 2007 at Bilton Grange School

Saturday 2nd September - An Italian Summer Lunch at the home of one of our members, Mrs. Kate Harvey.

Friday, 19th October - An Antiques Evening with David Barby of Flog It fame at Bilton Grange. This is to take the form of a talk, supper and then an auction of any items brought by visitors. Twenty-five percent to go to the charities.

Saturday 23rd February - A quiz, with supper, at Lilbourne Village Hall, Northamptonshire.

I do hope to see you at these events and am very much looking forward to working with members of SI Rugby and other clubs over the coming 12 months.
