President’s Message

I am the current President of Lichfield club, which is in its tenth year. Lichfield is a friendly club with a diverse representation of members from the professions. The club meets every month in the pleasant surroundings of the Cathedral Close.

Our local charities include St Giles Hospice, Pathway (a women’s refuge), Breakthrough Breast Cancer, The Salvation Army, Young Carers and Talking Newspapers.

This is now my second year of office and I am looking forward to completing my President's project. A year was never going to be quite enough! This is the project we have named 'Keyring Services for Lichfield Youth' and targets those young people who are vulnerable for a variety of reasons.

This year, as well as continuing to support our existing charities, we are intending to work closely with the Brownie Group of St Chads and one of the local care homes for the elderly. The dignity agenda is high focus for us all.

I know that I have the privilege of continuing to lead a vibrant club - still exciting but not quite so scary!!
