Welcome to SI Easter Ross

Our President's Message

Welcome to the website of S.I. Easter Ross. Our club is small in numbers but large in friendship. We are the furthest north club in SIGBI extending from north of the Kessock Bridge in the south to John O' Groats in the north. In the past it has been known for us to have members from the extremities of the area. At the moment the furthest north member comes from near Tain and the furthest south from North Kessock--consult a map! we meet on the second and last Wednesdays of the month for most of the year and have a central meeting place of the Novar Arms Hotel in Evanton. Our members contribute fully to all aspects of club activities so we are able to fulfill our obligations to Soroptimism.
On a personal note I have been a Soroptimist for about 25 years and in that time have held several posts within the club including President. I have also served as Regional President. The first time I was club President my family were young and it was a juggling act; this time I share much of my time with my grandchildren wich is a joy.
My chosen charity is British Heart Foundation Nurses Highland, a charity which brings support and help to people with heart disease throughout the Highlands.
