SI Dublin Projects
Each Soroptimist International club identifies the needs of its community, then establishes specific projects to address these needs. All our projects relate to one or more of the six Programme Focus Areas: Economic and Social Development, Education, Environment, Health, Human Rights and the Status of Women, and International Goodwill and Understanding.
More information is available in the Our Work pages, where you can read more about the current Programme Focus aims and the Quadrennial Project, supported by all clubs in the Federation.
The projects listed below include some of the local and international issues we research and support in SI Dublin:
The Helping Hands
The Dublin club supports The Helping Hands group in Tallaght to provide a much needed weekend away annually for Carers.
Greenore Rostrevor Centre

To Russia With Love
In 2007 Dublin members raised €5.000 for Dublin based charity To Russia With Love.
Well Done Project
Each year The Dublin club supports UN World Water Day (22nd March 2008).
We raise money by focussing on alleviating one of the world’s primary sources of poverty, the lack of safe drinking water and poor sanitation facilities.
Flora Women’s Mini Marathon
Dublin club members organise each year with fellow Irish Soroptimists to participate in The Flora Women’s Mini Marathon.
We have raised funds for our National projects which have included providing respite homes for The Alzheimer’s Society and providing physiotherapy equipment for The National Rehabilitation Centre in Dun Laoighaire. This project will run until October 2008.
