Welcome to SI Buxton and District
Our President's Message
Welcome to the web pages of Buxton and District Soroptimists. We are a small, friendly and active club with members from all walks of life.
Our chosen theme for this year is Well-being, considering not only the individual but also society as a whole and our programme reflects this theme.
We have a long tradition of service in the club including running a charity Christmas card shop, supporting the local women’s refuge and acting as volunteers at the local Cancer Research Race for Life.
Our main fundraiser this year was a Clay Pigeon Shoot, the monies from which have been donated to our local hospice, the local young peoples diabetes group and Barnardo’s.
Our fund raising activities are also fun and social events this year include a garden party, coffee morning, quiz and Body Shop evening well as theatre visits. We are a club who are enthusiastic and enjoy ourselves whilst also caring for each other.
